“The Big Time” is a short (about 4 minutes) but powerful piece from a pivotal period in Bob's life. Originally written in the early 1980s for Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra, it went unrecorded (and un-played) for many years. We are thrilled that the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra has finally recorded this piece and that we are able to offer the music to you exclusively through Bob's site. This is a fantastic piece of music that your band will really love playing. There are no solos, but it will definitely showcase the band.

**Though the Percussion part could be omitted, but it is strongly suggested that it is included, as it is part of Bob's originals score, and adds a lot of depth to the chart.
